I’m looking forward to warmer weather and travel. Right now, I’m eyeing up Rome and Paris as possibilities. I haven’t been to Rome in more than 25 years. I feel the need to see Paris to make sure it’s all still there.
If we go to Rome, we need to do the Caravaggio tour and see the St. Matthew cycle. My husband wants to revisit Tempietto. And the kids want to experience the Sistine Chapel and the Forum (they’ve never been). I want to see the new Ara Pacis museum! Of course, I’ll insist everyone goes to the Pantheon, because it’s perfect.
Paris - what can I say about Paris? Even lousy Paris is great. The last time we were there was pre-pandemic - and why didn’t I go more places? (Although it was still a gorgeous time) . Next time we go, I’m dragging everyone to the Musee Carnavalet and the catacombs. They reopened Samaritane (sort of). And I miss the marche Bastille. I owe my eldest son a trip to Versailles.
Where do you want to go next?
